Swindon Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is a thriving group made up of talented amateur musicians of all ages. It provides not only a creative and enjoyable outlet for its members, but also an opportunity for people in the Swindon area to enjoy the best in classical orchestral music. The orchestra performs two concerts each year, in February and November.
We have a retiring collection at most concerts to raise money for worthwhile charities. Recent charities have included Wiltshire Air Ambulance, the Prospect Hospice, local prostate cancer services and Help Madina, which supports medical care in impoverished Sierra Leone.
We keep ticket prices low to make our concerts accessible to all. However, staging a concert is an expensive business and our orchestra struggles to remain financially solvent. SSO is an important part of Swindon’s cultural life, and would be delighted if you would support us.

Full page black and white advert £100, half page black and white advert £50 and a quarter page black and white advert £30. We offer a 50% discount for charities. Alternatively, you can make a donation. All donations of £25 or more will be acknowledged in our programme.
