Paul was tutored by Janet Bloxwich, Jeremy Ward and Kerry Camden before studying at London College of Music with Stefan de Haan. During his time there Paul was awarded the Crichton Bridges Prize for woodwind.
Post-graduate studies continued with Felix Warnock at Trinity College London, where he developed a passion for chamber music, directed & influenced by Steven Nagy and Brian Wightman,
As a result of this collaboration he represented the College with the Scirocco Woodwind Quintet recital tour of Malta.

On completing his post-graduate studies Paul subsequently became a peripatetic woodwind teacher, alongside performing with orchestras, choral societies and amateur dramatic societies. He can currently be heard performing with various ensembles around Wiltshire and further afield, and is a member of the Mistral Wind Quintet.

Previous solo performances include Mozart Bassoon Concerto with Southend Sinfonia and Essex Symphony Orchestra, Elgar Romance for bassoon and orchestra with Essex Symphony Orchestra, Vivaldi Bassoon Concerto in E minor for the Lovecy Sunday Concert Series in Warwick.

He is delighted to showcase the Nino Rota Bassoon Concerto in this concert.
